Rocky and Grandma Rockefeller were my Great Gandparents through Naomi (Rockefeller) Wright, wife of Kenneth R. Wright of Poughkeepsie, NY. Rocky owned and operated a country gas station and store near Pleasant Valley, NY. I recall the old 'Breyers Ice Cream' clock/sign and how kind he was to me. His favorite meal was corned beef and cabbage. It was snowing the day the family admitted Rocky to the sanitorium for an ordered rest owing to Tuberculosis. I believe he passed at this hospital.

I was very young when I found Grandma Rockefeller on the floor in the kitchen of the upstairs appartment at LaGrange Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY. She had collapsed suddenly and passed in my presence. I had just learned a few words at that point, but I knew her name. I kept calling her name until Nana (Naomi) arrived. This is my earliest childhood memory.
