HAMPAIGN -- Lee A. Fabri - 70, of Champaign passed away at his home on March 17, 2016 at 8:55 A.M. He was born on May 11, 1945 in Taylorville to Jon and Virginia Handel Fabri. He married Karen Fowler on July 16, 1966 in Palatine. Survivors include his mother- Virginia Fabri of Charleston, South Carolina , his wife-Karen Fabri of Champaign, his son-Anthony (Kate Meghji), and one granddaughter- Eleanor Fabri of Lawrence, Kansas. Also surviving are brothers- Jon (Margaret) Fabri of Charleston, South Carolina, Dave Fabri of Rockford, Christopher (Laurie) of Lorain, Ohio and Sisters- Mary (David) Goldberg of Chenile, Arizona, and one sister-in law- Rena McClelland of Jacksonville, Florida and many nieces and nephews. After serving in the U.S. Army lee returned to college and received his Doctorate Degree from Northern Illinois University and later worked in many Illinois school districts as a teacher, coach and in many administrative capacities. He was a member of the Illinois Association of School Business Officials, Coles County Retired Teachers Association, Coles County Master Gardners, and was a Champaign County Democratic Precinct Committeeman. A memorial visitation will be held for Lee on Saturday May 7, 2016 from 1:00-to-3:00 P.M. at the Morgan Memorial Home 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy.
