Edwin A. Wilcox

Edwin A. Wilcox, a retired sergeant, formerly attached to the 67th Company, Coast Artillery, U. S. A., died yesterday at his home, 811 Bedford avenue. He was born in Brooklyn sixty-four years ago and was a veteran of the Indian uprisings in the West and of the Spanish-American War. At the time of his death he was a member of Gen. Henry W. Lawton Camp, No. 25, U. S. W. V. He was the last of his immediate family. The funeral was held today from the parlors of John W. Madden, 628 Myrtle avenue, with interment at the National Cemetery.

Wilcox, sergeant, Sixty-seventh Company, Coast Artillery, has served 29 years in Company K, Seventh Infantry; Company G, twenty-second infantry; Battery F, First Artillery; Battery H, Fourth Artillery; Thirty-fourth Company, Coast Artillery; and Sixty-seventh Company, Coast Artillery. His character is recorded as excellent.
