on of Thompson Chamberlain (1796-1885) and Mary West (1798-1886), of Manor, TX. With his older brother James, A. W. is thought by some family sources to have fled to northern CA after the two supposedly killed a man near Webberville, TX, in 1859. Andrew appears to have married a woman named Francelia E. Barnes in Plumas Co., CA, in 1864, with whom he had five children. Andrew West (or "W.") Chamberlain is listed on multiple voter registers, directories, and censuses for Plumas, Butte, Lassen, and Shasta counties between 1867 and 1898.
