ldest son of John Tate Chamberlain and Martha Jane (Matt) Kincheloe, of Burnet, Co., TX. The Chamberlain brothers, Louis Coleman and James Hardee, purchased the "Burnet Bulletin" newspaper around 1900. For many years, L. C. Chamberlain served was editor of the "Bulletin"; he was also a school teacher. In 1898, he maried Mary Alma Orgain. They were the parents of four children: Frances Louise; Martha Kate (Mart); Wm. Orgain; and Lillian Faye (Faye).
