Dec 18, 1943- He entered active service at Fort Dix, New Jersey.

Jan. 1944 - Qualified as Marksman with Springfield M 1903

May 8, 1944 -He was assigned to the newly activated 368th. Harbor Craft Company at Seattle, WA [Seattle Port of Embarkation]. The enlisted men were assigned to various classes: Diesel School, Rigging School, Seamanship School, Navigation School, Signaling School, Firefighting School and First Aid School. The enlisted men were also assigned to various small craft for experience in maintaining and operating the equipment. His MOS was Marine Engineer.

Jun 11, 1944- His group was assigned to Tulalip Ammunition Backup Storage Depot, Maryville WA to setup camp for extended field training and bivouac.

Jun 17, 1944 The group passed training and returned to Seattle Port of Embarkation.

Aug 17, 1944- The company left Seattle for Fort Lawson for preliminary staging.

Sept 1, 1944- The company left for Camp Stoneman, Pittsburg CA and arrived there on Sept. 3, 1944.

Sept 20, 1944- The company left Camp Stoneman for Fort Mason SFPE and boarded the SS Monterey.

Sept 21, 1944- SS Monterey departed for destination unknown.

Oct 8, 1944 The 368th. arrived at Hollandia, Dutch New Guinea after stops in Brisbabe Australia, Oro Bay, New Guinea, Finschhafen New Guinea, and Humboldt New Guinea..

Oct 10, 1944- Debarked ship and went to Camp Walker.

Oct 26, 1944- The 368th.arrived at WAAB Beach where the company operated tugs and small craft; loaded barges and made up tows; operated two 30 ton cranes;serviced, repaired and maintained all craft in the pool.

Dec 24, 1944- First of 3 groups of the 368th. leave New Guinea for Leyte P.I.; last one arrives Layte, Philippine Islands on Apr 22, 1945.

May 1, 1945- Reorganized as the 368th. Transportation Corp Harbor Boat Company.

May 30, 1945 368th. entitled to Battle Credits for participating in New Guinea Campaign per G.O. 64.

Jun 15, 1945- Reported to Manila, Philippine Islands.

Aug 6, 1945- 368th. entitled to Battle Credits for participating in Southern Pacific Campaign per G.O. 95.Luzon Campaign per G.O. 95.

Aug 15, 1945- The company reported to Bataan, Philippine Islands.

Aug 25, 1945- The 368th. entitled to battle Credits for participating in the Luzon Campaign per G.O. 136.

Dec 26, 1945- He left Philippine Islands for USA

Jan 01, 1946- He arrived stateside.

Jan 01, 1946- He was seperated from service.
