Gettysburg and the Cardwell Family

wo sons of Thomas Cardwell and Mary Long of Marshall County, Alabama served in the 48th Alabama Infantry, CSA. The unit was heavily engaged during the Battle of Gettysburg and one son was KIA and the other was WIA and later captured.
