Served in US Marine Corps From 1953 to 1961, obtained the rank of S/Sgt. Left Corp as drill instructor from Parris Island, SC. Joined Army in 1961, went to OCS at Fort Benning, Ga. Commisioned a 2nd Lt. Infantry. Retired as Major on 1 Apr 1974.
