2 Parents: Leo J. and May Lord Archambeau of 74 S. Anderson. He also leaves three sisters and a brother.

Father Leo was proprietor of Stroh’s Distributor at 28 Mariva, for whom Robert was a driver

Fold3 Memorial: Archambeau was attached to the 8th Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant; Specialty was Bombardier on a B-17 Flying Fortress

3 Archambeau was reported missing and ultimately declared dead on 9 April 1944. Recorded circumstances attributed to “missing in action or lost at sea.” He was a member of the crew of 10 on B-17G, #42-97331, and was reported missing with the crew ‘experiencing severe weather between Goose Bay, Labrador and Iceland.’
