This plane was last seen in a tight spiral on fire, due to a direct hit from flak, and was seen to crash in the river bed just North of target. 5 chutes were seen to open and floated to the ground. No other information available.

Information received by the family was that his parachute failed to open; and he was killed in action after bailing out of the burning bomber.
