Jennet (Jenny) Chamberlain Eaton

ennet was the next-to-the-youngest daughter of Ninian Chamberlain (1718-1804) and Jennet Unknown (1720-1784), of Jefferson Co., TN. On 17 Oct. 1803, she married Robert Donelson Eaton, of Grainger Co., who would later serve as an officer under Andrew Jackson in the War of 1812. Jenny and Robert had four children: Andrew Chamberlain; Joseph P.; Jane D.; and William G. Some time in the 1840s, the Eatons moved to Anderson Co., TN, to live in the household of their daughter, Jane Eaton Lea. Jenny was the only one of the daughters of Ninian and Jennet Chamberlain to have appeared by name on a U.S. census (1850, Anderson Co.).
