Nadine was a very dear friend of mine. I was with her when she passed. It was very peaceful and in her own home. Her husband Ernest (Buck), held her hand as she left this world. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend.

Nadine loved life, people and animals. She loved to talk and care for others. It seemed as though she always had someone living in her home. She was kind and loving, but those who mistaked her kindness for weakness soon learned how wrong they were.

She was a God fearing woman as well as a strong woman. She was the maternal grandmother to my oldest son D.J. (Ernest III) Alspaw and greatgrandma to Elden Drake Alspaw as well as the so called adopted grandma to my youngest son Johnathan Smith. Granny was a great old gal.

She is dearly missed by myself as well as everyone who knew and loved her and even some who may not have known her so well.

She was just an awesome lady. I love you Granny, Kimberly Fite (Alspaw-Smith)
